Now, I can support this push for Equal Pay

Five key members of the U.S. women’s soccer team have filed a federal complaint against the U.S. Soccer Federation to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, alleging wage discrimination. In the complaint, the players cite USSF figures from last year showing that they were paid nearly four times less than men’s players despite generating much more revenue. (Washington Post)

If this is true, then I can wholeheartedly support this push for Equitable Pay. I don’t say “Equal Pay” because — if the women’s soccer team is generated more revenue for the entity paying their salaries, they should make more than the men…

It’s a type of Supply & Demand — if a job requires skills that few individuals can supply, those who can should tend to make more. This extends to the soccer team, because they would be clearly producing a higher rate of return the male team isn’t – so – the women should be paid more…
